- Bahrain score deep into stoppage time to salvage a 2-2 draw at home to Indonesia in Group C of the third round of the Asian Football Confederation’s qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
- Mohamed Marhoon scores the opener for the home side at the Bahrain National Stadium in Riffa with a screamer of a free kick after 15 minutes, but Indonesia peg Bahrain back with an equaliser from Ragnar Oratmangoen just before half-time.
- Indonesia dominate for large parts of the second half and take the lead through a strike by Rafael Struick in the 74th minute.
- The visitors look like they would hold out for their first ever win in Bahrain, but Marhoon scores his second goal of the game with almost the last kick of the match eight minutes into stoppage time to snatch a draw for the home side.
- The result leaves Bahrain in fourth place in the group with four points from three games while Indonesia are fifth on three points.
