• Oleksandr Syrskii, head of the Ukrainian armed forces, says Kyiv’s forces advanced 35km (22 miles) into Russia’s Kursk region and set up an administration office.
• The Russian Ministry of Defence says Russian forces have taken control of the village of Ivanivka in Donetsk, the Interfax news agency reports.
