- UN to add Israeli army to blacklist of those who harm children in conflict, as more than 15,500 children killed in Gaza since October 7.
- Gaza’s Health Ministry says 77 people have been killed and 221 were wounded in the enclave during the latest 24-hour reporting period.
- Israeli air strikes on a United Nations-operated school sheltering displaced Palestinians in central Gaza have killed at least 40 people. Israel’s army says Hamas fighters were also in the shelter.
- Egyptian and Qatari mediators have reportedly said they expect Hamas will submit its response to the latest ceasefire proposal as pressure continues to mount to get a deal done.
- At least 36,731 people have been killed and 83,530 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7. The revised death toll in Israel from Hamas’s attacks stands at 1,139, with dozens of people still held captive in Gaza.
