- The head of the Kenya Medical Association tells Al Jazeera that 13 people have been killed, 12 of them in Nairobi, after police fired at protesters.
- Protests and clashes also took place in several other cities and towns across the country.
- Parliament approved the finance bill despite the protests. It is now expected to be presented to President William Ruto to sign it into law.
- In his first comments on Tuesday’s protests, Ruto says that “criminals” hijacked the demonstrations, and backs the police.
