• Despite Israel’s military saying it will “pause” attacks for 11 hours each day on a main aid route in southern Gaza, UNRWA’s chief says “hostilities continue in Rafah” and “operationally nothing has changed yet”.
• Israel’s attacks on Gaza are wiping out entire Palestinian families, The Associated Press reports, with some strikes killing “four generations from the same family”.
• The Israeli army is setting up a division of retirement-age reservists because of the “urgent need”.
• The Israeli government is considering sanctioning the Palestinian Authority and countries that recognise Palestine.
• At least 37,347 people have been killed and 85,372 injured in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7. The death toll in Israel from the Hamas-led attacks stands at 1,139 with dozens of people still held captive in Gaza.
