- Police in the United States have arrested at least 132 student protesters and put them on buses after they forcibly cleared a peaceful pro-Palestine encampment at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
- Protesters waved Palestinian flags and chanted slogans as advancing officers in riot gear fired flashbangs and removed barricades.
- The dispersal of the camp comes after police ordered the hundreds of protesters to leave or face arrest, fewer than 24 hours after their encampment was attacked by violent pro-Israel counter-protesters.
- President Joe Biden gave his first comments on the campus protests after the dispersal of the encampment, saying “dissent must never lead to disorder”, but making no mention of violent attacks on pro-Palestinian protesters.
