• UN chief Guterres says ”incremental progress” on Gaza aid not enough, calls on Israel to create safety for humanitarians and facilitate more “urgently needed” aid to the enclave.
• Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israeli forces will enter Gaza’s southern city of Rafah regardless of whether a ceasefire deal is reached with Hamas or not.
• The International Court of Justice has ruled against issuing emergency measures over German arms sales to Israel as requested by Nicaragua.
• More than 900 protesters have been arrested over the last 11 days across the United States as demonstrations against Israel’s attack continue to spread.
• At least 34,535 Palestinians have been killed and 77,704 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7. The death toll in Israel from Hamas’s October 7 attacks stands at 1,139 with dozens of people still held captive.
