- Ukraine has reportedly fired United Kingdom-made Storm Shadow missiles into Russia a day after it targeted a weapons depot in Bryansk with a US-provided Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS).
- The United States embassy in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, says it received “specific information of a potential significant air attack” on Wednesday, prompting it to shutter its doors. The Italian, Spanish and Greek embassies have also said their embassies will remain closed.
- Russia’s foreign intelligence chief Sergey Naryshkin says that attempts by NATO countries to facilitate Ukrainian missile strikes deep inside Russia will not go unpunished, according to Russia’s state-run RIA news agency.
- Pope Francis, marking 1,000 days since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, called it a “shameful disaster for humanity” at an audience attended by First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.
