• According to Russia’s TASS news agency, Russian air defences have shot down a Ukrainian drone over the Belgorod region.

• The Russian ambassador to Denmark, Vladimir Barbin, condemns Denmark and the Netherlands for promising to donate F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, warning the move would lead to “an escalation of the conflict”.

• Russia says it foiled attacks by two Ukrainian drones in the Moscow region as nearly 50 flights in and out of the capital were disrupted.

• Ukraine’s deputy defence minister says fighting in Kharkiv is “difficult” but claims Kyiv’s forces are repelling Russian attacks and have retaken several square kilometres on the eastern front over the past week.
